What Is Skinvive®?

Skinvive® is an innovative, FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler designed to improve the smoothness and hydration of the skin. Unlike traditional fillers that are used to build and shape volume in the face, Skinvive® is used to smooth subtle lines and improve the texture of the skin itself. Microdroplets of hyaluronic acid are injected directly into the dermis layer of the skin, where hyaluronic acid naturally resides, to hydrate from within. In doing so, it restores and creates a natural, youthful glow without changing the shape of your face.

How long do the effects of Skinvive® last?

The effects of Skinvive® last for up to six months. The results are more subtle than traditional fillers, as Skinvive® does not alter the shape of your face. You can expect to see a reduction of subtle fine lines, an overall more hydrated feel, and a newfound smoothness to your skin.

Can Skinvive® be combined with other treatments?

Yes! Patients who are looking to address volume loss may benefit from a combination of treatments that might include traditional fillers being placed in the sub-dermis to rebuild volume, followed by Skinvive® being placed in the dermis to address skin quality and hydration. How quickly will I see results from Skinvive®?

Results from Skinvive® can be seen immediately! Right after treatment, you may notice an overall plumping of the treated area, and subtle fine lines may be less visible for a more smooth look. However, the full results typically continue to develop over the next few weeks as the hyaluronic acid works its magic by attracting moisture, leading to maximum results in one month.

Are there any side effects of Skinvive® filler?

Mild side effects such as redness, tenderness, and mild bruising at the injection site(s) can happen but will typically resolve within a week post-treatment. These side effects should not interfere with your daily activities. A cold pack may be recommended to use for a few days following the treatment to address any mild redness or swelling that may occur.
