How Is Laser Hair Removal Performed?
At your laser hair removal appointment, you can lie in one of our treatment rooms as the needed areas of your skin are washed to remove oil, dirt, and moisturizers. During laser hair removal, a technician will slightly stretch the area to provide a direct path between the root of the hair follicle and the laser. The laser's energy will target and disable the hair follicle, which stops the hair from growing back. Usually, you will need to get a handful of treatments over a month or longer to see optimal results. Your sessions are staggered to allow the affected areas time to heal. This also provides time for follicles in the dormant growth phase to change to the active growth stage so the laser can be effective. Our state-of-the-art laser technology at Body+Beauty Lab targets only the hair follicle, preserving the skin and other tissue in the treated area.
