Skin resurfacing with a laser at Body+Beauty Lab is a noninvasive cosmetic treatment that uses pulsating beams of light to remove damaged skin cells one layer at a time. The procedure is excellent for correcting facial wrinkles and lines and improving skin flaws, including acne scars, pigmentation, and other concerns. Sometimes called a laser peel, fractional skin resurfacing is considered an effective procedure for patients who want softer, clearer, younger-looking skin. Depending on the needs of your skin type, the treatment may be adjusted for optimal results. There is little downtime associated with most laser skin resurfacing facials. Our Laser Skin Resurfacing Technique
Before a more intense or deeper skin resurfacing treatment, you may be asked to use a topical retinoid for a few weeks before your laser appointment. This helps prepare the skin for maximum results. Medication will be given prior to the procedure to help reduce any sensation so you can relax throughout your session. If your skin needs mild correction, a topical anesthetic will be applied to numb specific areas where the laser will target. For the whole face or more intense laser procedures, a type of sedation may be used. Throughout the procedure, you can relax in our special treatment chair while the laser handpiece passes over the skin, precisely targeting the designated surfaces for improvement. You may feel the heat from the laser followed by cold air from the system's built-in cooling device. The laser is designed to eliminate dead and damaged skin cells while also prompting new collagen growth.

Im writing a review for body and beauty lab but more specifically for Lua Padova! I have been to likely 7 different dermatologists, have spent insane amounts of money on product both prescription and otherwise and nothing has fixed my skin. I’ve struggled with acne for my entire life and this is the first time that I’ve ever had consistently clear skin and that’s thanks to Lua!! Not only is she hilarious and a delight to see for my appointments but she really understood what my skin needed. The products she suggested have not only eliminated my acne but also evened my skin tone and helped with my fine lines! I had never really done much outside of traditional facials but she talked me into the Moxy laser facial and my gosh LIFE CHANGING! Acne scars eliminated! Lua is very experienced as well as knowledgable about the various skin care applications that are offered at B&BL..She will address your skin care needs, then recommend the best treatment for you. While having your treatment, she is "thoroughly present" explaining every step of the procedure and has you leaving with a precise post care plan. I just finished my 2nd round of Morpheus with a Moxi. I have one more to go! Change is HAPPENING!! I feel totally supported and confident in her care for my skin. Lua is a TRUE GEM!
